TraumaMan continues to make his way around the world. His latest destination is the Jigme Dorji Wangchuck National Referral Hospital (JDWNRH) in Thimphu, Bhutan. TraumaMan was donated by the Bhutan Foundation. The Bhutan Foundation is the only American not-for-profit organization that is wholly focused on the benefit of the country and people of Bhutan, bridging understanding between our two countries and beyond.
Simulab is at ACEP (American College of Emergency Physicians) this week with a full line-up of medical procedural trainers including TraumaMan, CentraLineMan, and SonoMan. Participants can try out a wide variety of procedures live and experience the realism of our trainers.
TraumaMan and CentraLineMan were put through their paces by a team of Duke University Emergency Medicine residents. The tasks for the day included chest tube insertion and central line placement.
TraumaMan and CentraLineMan are front and center at the American College of Surgeons (ACS) show in Chicago this week. ACS provides a great opportunity for surgeons to get some great hands-on experience with Simulab trainers.
