LapTrainer with SimuVision Camera Upgrade (LTSU-10)

The LapTrainer with SimuVision’s camera is now available with an integrated lighting system. Customers who purchased a LapTrainer prior to April 2008 are eligible to purchase this upgrade kit to add lighting directly to the LapTrainer’s camera.
Features and Benefits:
- Lighting is integrated directly into the camera - instead of lighting the simulation site from the back of the trainer, the light now comes directly from the camera
- The lighting system is powered by the laptop’s USB port instead of being plugged into a conventional outlet for an even more portable system
- No longer tied to specific voltage
- The shadows cast by the new lighting system are more accurate
TraumaMan System Upgrades
In 2008, the TraumaMan® System is being upgraded! In addition to the five procedures already available on this advanced surgical trainer, the following are being added:
Percutaneous Tracheostomy: TraumaMan's neck is being upgraded to include this procedure. The upgrade will include all the landmarks of the trachea and it will provide an airway response through the trachea.
Needle Decompression: TraumaMan is being upgraded to include the Needle Decompression. The upgrade will include the clavicle and rib landmarks and the pressurized pleural space will be self-sealing for multiple uses.
Diagnostic Ultrasound: This feature will allow the student to practice using ultrasound to identify various patient conditions.
